
Workforce Development
Edmonds Community College Workforce Development, in collaboration with business, government and other educational institutions, is dedicated to developing and providing quality educational and training programs and services to support economic development and to assist individuals in attaining their educational and professional goals.
The Workforce Development and Training Office:
- Provides oversight of career training programs at the College
- Works with businesses and organizations in the community to identify training needs

Training Programs
- Arts Now Non-credit arts program that nurtures artistic spirit from creation to commerce in the visual, literary, performing, media and language arts.
- Business and Training Center Continuing education short-term courses and certificate programs in business, healthcare, IT, industry, and lifelong learning.
- Career Training Programs Certificate and degree programs designed to prepare you for specific jobs or to improve existing skills.
- Certificates of Completion Short certificate programs of fewer than 20 credits.
- Creative Retirement Institute Providing quality, affordable educational opportunities for adults in a supportive environment.
- Center of Excellence for Aerospace and Advanced Materials Manufacturing A Joint Center of Excellence between Edmonds and Everett Community Colleges
- WorkFirst Providing tuition assistance and short-term vocational training for income-eligible parents
- Tech Prep An in-the-high-school program, combining high school and college classes into a unified course of study.
Tuition Assistance Programs
- Basic Food Employment and Training Assists food-stamp-eligible students with childcare, books and some emergency support services while attending Edmonds Community College.
- Opportunity Grant Financial assistance for low income Edmonds CC students who are currently or previously enrolled in ABE/GED/ESL and/or High School Completion programs interested in targeted high demand career pathways.
- WorkFirst Tuition assistance and short-term vocational training for income-eligible parents.
- Worker Retraining Tuition assistance for unemployed and displaced workers

- Small Business Development Center (SBDC) No fee professional business advising and technical assistance in all areas of business management.

- WorkSource Snohomish County Offering a variety of resources to assist you in your job search. The college now houses the WorkSource Aerospace Center, which offers employment and training services to laid-off aerospace workers as well as anyone collecting unemployment benefits
